Park & Bark Opera was founded in the
spring of 2005 by Jason Robinette with the goal of bringing opera, some
of the worlds most passionate music, to all people through live
performances and in-school outreach. Park & Bark Opera has performed
3 benefit and outreach concerts since its initial founding.
In 2006 Park & Bark Opera added artistic
director Mim Paquin who expanded its mission to include providing performance
opportunities to upcoming conductors, musicians, and vocalists (of all
ages).
With this additional goal in view, Park &
Bark Opera is now dedicated to bridging the gap between a performers
drive to further his/her artistic development and his/her desire to
help better communities, by preparing concerts and programs designed
to raise funds and awareness for worthy causes, all the while drawing
community interest to the worlds grandest music, opera.
